Before training to be an equine massage practitioner i have both worked and studied in the equestrian industry for a number of years.
I hold a National Diploma in Equine Management and a Bsc Hons in Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation. Along side academi study i have always worked on a yard starting off with work placements in both racing and rehabilitation facilties. I have also previously spent two seasons grooming for hunt/event horses. I predominantly now work with showjumpers grooming both nationally and internationally getting to travel to some amazing show venues with both horses and ponies. I think having both academic and practical experiance lend themselves well to masage as i have learnt the anatomy of the horse and what can go wrong in a classroom , but also get to see antomy put into practice both in and out of the ring.
I also have two of my own horses and a sponsored rider suporting team hunters equine massage so make sure to check out the blog page for regular updates on them!
